This is actually a brilliant response to USA Network/NBC Universal's requirement to have a title defended each week on Raw. This was also back when Brock was champion I believe so knowing that title would not be defended, like ever, on Raw, and the only other title possibly defended was the IC/US title (whichever was on raw at the time) and/or the men's tag titles (as women's tag titles were trash) or the women's title, the 24/7 title became the 'go to' title to defend week in and week out.Vince, for as many bad things he's done in this business, came up with an absolute gem of a response to the USA network's demand in their contract - the 24/7 title.USA network in negotiating a new deal with WWE/Vince, required a weekly title to be defended on raw (this is actually supposed to be true).Here is my theory (with some truth to it.this is in reference to why the 24/7 storyline has mostly gone away, somewhat to do with Dana). I have that pent up anger inside that I’m just ready to let out and show the world that I can do it. People, they always see what is showcased out there in the ring or what’s on TV, but they never see how someone is working behind the scenes and I promise you I’m the hardest working woman and I said talk is cheap because I have that aggression.
